I’m a lifelong addict. Starting from a very early age – innocuous affinities to comic books and baseball cards lead to more serious habits; travel, work, women, substances – general newness. That engine of unquenchable desire has carried me to places unknown to me while growing up in mid Missouri. That drive to see and experience and become absorbed, completely has created a peak moments monster of sorts and I don’t think I’d have it any other way. Why?
I’m a citizen of two amazing nations; I’ve studied biology, public health, international law and human rights; I was TV host, golf course director, teacher, coach and athletic director, a co-founder of a chamber of commerce, a poet and a cryptocurrency trader, an autodidact, a book addict, a seeker and survivor. I lived in the US, Republic of Georgia, Costa Rica and Ecuador with short stints in East Africa.
Now, I’d like to buildout communities of people seeking authenticity and vulnerability through writing poetry. Poetry, has helped in my survival of life and its endless questions and directionless paths. In the end, I want to better. And I want to be better with others.
